What makes a person becomes a good public speaker? Except the
excellent public speaking skills, you must have colorful life experiences. More
  life experience, more stories you can tell to other people. At first, I think
  the guest speaker’s speech must be boring, but his behavior is beyond my
expectation. He is humor and interesting. His language is vivid, almost all the
students are attracted by his speech.


I think his story is fantastic! That is the real life, a
  wonderful life, a meaningful life. There are three words throughtout the
story---- never give up. How can a crying baby become a successful man? The
success is all depend on his mind. His mind is stronger than anything. His mind
tells him to reach his dream, to let his dream become the truth. Then he did it.
Although he had failures for several times, but he never give up, so that he can
stand in front of us today. All the stories have happy parts and sad parts. So
does his story. When one of his best friends was killed and his grandpa passed
away, he didn’t fall down. He stand up and didn’t give up continue fighting.



His speech moved me a lot and I also learn that the most
important part of a person is the mind. Never give up chasing dream. Trust
yourself and just do it.

Hope everything is ok, Mr. Manno. Actually I want to ask you this
question. This project is difficult. I think it is more difficult than any other
project. My mom once told me: “No matter what you are doing, just try your best.
Even though you lose, at least you tried for it and that’s enough.” What can I
do to be successful with English and Public Speaking project. Try my best!
Someone may ask, how can you try your best? The topic that is picked by me is
telling Bilbo’s nephew, Frodo about the adventure. I need to follow the rules
that Mr. Manno gave us about how to write essay. A good essay can’t without
figurative language and creative description. The most important thing is I must
use the correct grammar. Make sure I won’t lose point on grammar although it is
hard. About public speaking project, using my perfect public speaking skills to
reach the success. I will teach the class, this is my public speaking project.
The topic is very important. I need to do enough research to make sure I can
answer all the question from my
“students”.


In a word, try my best.

I still remember when I first got The Hobbit, I felt excited and
I thought: “I can finish this book with enough patience,” but when I read the
first 2 pages of the book, I regret. It was so hard that I read one page for
about 15 minutes. There were a lot of words I didn’t know and many phrases I
couldn’t understand. At that moment, reading The Hobbit was painful. This book
tortured me. I kept reading this book with a pair of red eyes until midnight. In
order to understand all the sentence, I didn’t pay much attention on the plots.
As time goes by, I read faster, I didn’t check all the new words. I guessed the
meanings of the new words. I found this book was not as boring as the beginning.
Until now, I feel that The Hobbit is a good book. There are many interesting
things happened in this book and every characters have different personalities.
Tell the truth, I don’t feel much enjoyable to read this book, but I have more
interests to read the book than before. At least, not painful anymore.



If I can widen my vocabulary, I think I will feel more enjoyable
when I reading English books.

I want to talk about money today, because I saw an article on a
website. I thought a lot about that article, so I decide write about happiness
and money as today’s blog.


Can money buy happiness? Different people have different
  opinions. Some think yes, while others hold the opposite. It is true that with
  enough money one can buy all the things we wants, and live a life of comfort
  and security. However, it is equally true that run out of money causes great
sadness. It is a common view that "money is the root of all evil."(My mom told
  me) The pursuit of money make many people to cheat and steal. In some places
  there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, everybody in this kind of
  society is miserable. So, money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all
  depends on how it is used. If we make honest and sensible use of money, it can
  be a road to happiness!  Although
money cannot buy happiness, it can make happiness possible if you use it in a
right way.

Today, I hung out with my friends. We went to the cinema and saw
an excellent movie. after seeing the movie, can you guess what could four girls
do in at weekends? Shopping? Nope. Camping? Of course not! We don’t like
  shopping, we would rather solve math problems then go shopping outside. I don’t
  why all of us don’t like shopping, almost all the girls like shopping. We think
  if there is no necessary, we needn’t go shopping. It is wasting time, money and
  our energy. Everyone has different hobbies. We went to KTV after seeing a
  movie. We sang for 3 hours. You know what? Many Chinese only listen to the
  English songs, they think Chinese songs are stupid, not me, a few Chinese agree
  on that point. One of my friends is one of “a few Chinese”. She can only sing
  English songs. Actually, some English songs are not good, they have no charm. I
  don’t like it. We have ancient Chinese, this kind of language is very nice, if
  you use ancient Chinese as the lyric, it’s really good.



We were hungry when we went out of KTV, so we went to a
  restaurant. About 8 o’clock, we said goodbye to each other and went home



What a nice day!

Oh! Yeah! weekend is coming! Every Friday is the most exciting
day in a week, I can’t tell you how is my feeling about going home, because it
is beyond description. I can do anything I want to do at home. I don’t need to
wear uniform, no tie, no skirt, no English! This weekend is a free weekend, no
parents’ weekend! They have all gone to America and they will stay there for
about 2 weeks. This means I can do anything without their charge. I am kidding,
I have to obey the rules they gave me before they went out. For example, I can’t
go out in the evening, I can’t surf on the internet for too long time and I have
to sleep early. Most important one is that, I need report everything to them on
skype everyday so that they won’t worry me.



I think this is a good chance for me to exercise my independent
  ability. Maybe I should cook by myself, wash clothes and clean the house. Of
  course I will hang out with my friends. My parents are not at home, then there
  is no morning call anymore.


What an exciting
weekend!

Welcome back Angela! Oh, I have to face these complicated blogs!
If there are no blogs, lives will be better. I am kidding, so… today’s blog is
compare two songs in The Hobbit, and we need to write about 200 words. It’s
  difficult for me… I lied in bed for two days and only read 3 pages of The
  Hobbit.


Okay, although these two songs’ tones are almost the same, but
there still has some little difference. In chapter one, the dwarves haven’t went
on their adventure yet, so there mood must be heavy and anxious. They don’t know
what will happen in their journey. They don’t know whether they can alive or not
during the adventure. They sing the song in an unstable and frightened way. In
chapter 15, they have already arrived at their home and the Dragon was dead,
they just need keep their treasure carefully. Thorin becomes selfish and a
little bit mean. Their tone about the song is not as anxious as before in
  chapter 1. There is a pride in their heart and the tone must be relax and
  joyful.

  Okay! I am feeling
  better now. No worries, I’ll come back to school soon. There was an accident on
  Monday, but never mind, I am strong enough! That was my first time to get on an
  ambulance, not a good experience. I want to thank Ms. Jia, she is a really nice
  person, and a very responsible teacher. I also want to thank Drew’s father, he
  is the warmest father that I have ever seen, of course except my father.   He bought food and drinks for
Victoria and me. I feel really grateful.



  I have absented
for 2 days, I am worried about my homework… I think I must miss a lot especially
  Global studies. Ms. Ku sent me an email said that we are going to write a
resolution. I heard Harry said we learnt log about Math. Oh my god, I think I
must work hard when I go back to school.



  How is the result
of our sports day? Red house win, right? Yes! 

I saw Mr. Manno and Mr. Doyle’s photo in our 9B chatting room on
QQ. Mr. Manno, I think you were drunk! 
Don’t trouble your wife just because you were drunk. Mr. Doyle went to Yi
Wu too! He told us he won’t go there. I regret that I didn’t come with
you…

Today I went to school and gave the new student’s parents a
  speech. I talked about school and my feeling in this school. It’s unlucky that
  Mr. Manno is not there, I can’t show you how great my public speaking skill
was! I had eye contact and very good intonation. May be you can ask Mr. Eaton,
he can prove me.
